University of Science and Technology(UST, KIOM school)
is a graduate-level university under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Korea, with a nationwide campus spanning 29 government-funded research institutes. Master’s and Ph.D.
Students of UST majored in Korean Convergence Medical Science have an opportunity to be educated in Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine(KIOM) with highly advanced research facilities and practical on-site training programs.
One-on-one R&D education will be provided by an outstanding Ph.D.-level faculty of KIOM equipped with the diverse experience and know-how. The students will be able to access to research equipments and facilities unavailable at regular universities and participate various government projects to ensure exposure to the latest research trends and enable the cultivation of practical ability.
Scholarship
All UST students are provided with a top-class monthly stipend to encourage students tp focus on research and to study with no financial burden.

Major introduction (Korean Convergence Medical science)
Students majoring in Korean Convergence Medical Science are taught by faculty members with expertise in the multiple disciplines required for the development of Korean medicine.
The major aims to cultivate the talent of the future who can converge Korean medicine, physics, (biomedical) engineering, life science, and (medicine) pharmacy. After graduation, students become Korean medicine/health care researchers, experts in herbal medicine, medical technologies, or medical instruments, etc.
Once students enroll in this major, they are assigned an academic advisor, considering their undergraduate majors, for their education and research. This major can be approached by all undergraduate majors. ((Korean) medicine, pharmacy (herbal medicine), veterinary medicine, engineering, statistics, physics, life science, psychology, etc.) All students can participate in research projects of interest. They develop their competence as researchers through thesis guidance and research.
